IVF’s Anti-Doping Policy is based on the anti-doping policies of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and other internationally recognized authorities.

Through its Medical Committee, the IVF reviews on a regular basis and, as necessary, revises its policy, taking into account developments in the va’a sport and in the international fight against doping in sports generally.

One of the main objectives of the IVF anti-doping regulations is to achieve doping free va’a paddling at all levels, in and outside of competition. Through various initiatives, the IVF promotes, coordinates, and monitors the fight against doping in all its forms in the va’a sport.
